Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Boilermaker Trade Certificate
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Boilermaker in the mining industry
- Previous experience working on Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMMs)
- Good knowledge of structural and engineering drawings
- Experience in developing steel structures
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ mining industry experience as a Boilermaker.
- Practical experience on TMMs.
- Experience with structural fabrication, welding, maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to interpret engineering and structural drawings.

Main Duties
- Construct, assemble, maintain and repair mining equipment and structures.
- Perform welding, fabrication and plating work.
- Repair defective components and equipment.
- Attend to defects from inspections, breakdown reports and pre-start reports.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Identify and order spare parts required for repairs.
- Assist with heavy equipment handling when required.
- Inspect Ground Engaging Tools (GET) and equipment condition.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
- Maintain safety, health and environmental standards.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow workplace safety procedures.
- Use tools, machinery and equipment safely.
- Support safe work practices and housekeeping standards.
- Apply health, safety and environmental requirements in all maintenance activities.
